When will my baby begin the teething process ?
Most babies begin getting their teeth between 4-6 months of age. However, it can happen as early as three months. Typically, the lower teeth come in first followed by the upper teeth. Once three years old, your child should have all of their primary teeth.
What are the symptoms ?
- Fussiness
- Drooling
- Biting or gnawing
- Problems sleeping or eating
Tips on how to comfort a teething infant
- Rub your clean finger along your baby’s gums.
- Provide a safe object for your baby to chew on such as a teething ring or cold washcloth.
- If your baby can eat solid foods, try cold applesauce for some relief.
- Consult our office before using any pain relievers or teething gels.
